Momentum. It can work for you or against you. It had been working against us in the last 2 slideshows and this one was no different. Why?, you ask. The reason is simple, either our batteries or our camera is going bad. At first we thought it was the batteries. But as the day wore on, it began to act and feel more and more like the camera. A fully charged battery went dead in 30 minutes and this was to 2 completely charged batteries. I hope this isn't the camera for I have no idea where $500 to replace this one is gonna come from. 25 hard earned Webbittown shares went into the one you are seeing this slideshow from. Enough of this, now let's get down to the real dish from this show....First off Kostabi World. We come in to learn that Nick, the current photographer has given his two week notice. We wish him well on his new endeavors. Heidi gets upset when I switch camera batteries for a day. Jean Kallina drops by with her cute little dog Simon. Jean needs her websites switched from her .net address to her .com site address. We agree to look into it for her. Mark reports that he is headed to Cynthia Broan Gallery (as are we and a bunch of Webbittown artists as well), Paul is doing fine shooting 4x5's in the back. It is off to Scout Electromedia on 17th Street, but we learn that they are at 17th and 5th Ave. so we have to put it off for a day or two as we are at 17th and 9th Ave. when we find this out. Next stop the Grand Re-Opening of Gallery Henoch in their new digs at 555 W. 25th Street. Gallery Henoch is big and the art of Mel Leipzig was pretty big too. I saw a girl in there who was so pretty she ought to be told she is pretty every day she is alive. Richard Gins checked in for a gander at the new gallery in progress as well. Our next stop was the always fashionable Cynthia Broan Gallery at 423 W. 14th Street. Jonathan Feldschuh has a show up enitiled Little Corner of the World up until November 4th, and is worth seeing for I really can not do justice to this show. Mr. Sexy, Aristedes Duval, dropped by to join us on our jaunt to d.u.m.b.o. for the Smack Mellon show. As I get out of the car the cell phone winds up completely immersed in about 6 inches of water for about 10 seconds (it dried out and is now working). We met a really fun artist from La Harve, France by the name of Anne Lizy. She has a book that came out a couple of months ago, and her patron is letting her visit NY and publicize it. She came with us back to the rock for a fabulous nitecap at the Feldschuh Soho digs. And a good time was had by all.
