The invitation came in weeks earlier. All it seemed to be saying was "give this opening a chance". Who else could we be referring to but Bob Gruen the picture master from Rolling Stone Magazine. His icon of John Lennon with the New York City t-shirt, summed up the whole attitude. Calmx and I arrived fashionably on time and managed to get 156 lovely pictures that start out at ESPNZONE and a couple of Ron Englishs', to the opening itself, and a quick look at a new icon Tiger Woods, and a couple of the new 'best he has ever done' works by a another Bob Gruen subject Paul Kostabi. I will add more as VH1 and Gruenworks figure out what they want to add to this show later. Thanks for dropping by, and come back soon.
